Catering FAQ's

I have a large party and am interested in some of the Friends and Family packages you have to offer, but the largest package you offer only serves 15 people, what do you recommend I do?

Any of our Friends and Family packages can be ordered for any amount of guests you would like to serve. You may order the Ribs ‘n ‘Que for 5001 people if you like or we can create a custom menu for you.

I like some of the items with the packages you offer, can I make substitutions?

Substitutions are available on a limited basis. Let us know what items you are looking for and perhaps we should put a custom menu together for you.

Do you have plates or utensils available and do you charge for them?

With all of our catering selections we will include all of your plates, utensils, service utensils, napkins, wet towels and extra BBQ sauce. We do not charge for these items, it is simply a convenience we provide.

What are the extra BBQ sauces you provide?

We will automatically include our original Famous Rich and Sassy BBQ Sauce. If you would also like the Devils Spit BBQ Sauce, (our spiciest), just let us know. Any of our additional flavors are available for $2.99 per 19oz bottle.

Is there a delivery fee or a limit on how far you will deliver to?

Our delivery fee is similar to booking an event with our catering specialist... EASY! It's only $1.00 per mile from the Famous Dave's location nearest your delivery location.Our food travels really well, allowing us to deliver anywhere in the state of Colorado and even beyond on rare occasions!

How soon do I need to place my order?

For delivery we only ask for a 24 hours notice. However, delivery is subject to availability so you are encouraged to order early. If you would like to pick your order up at the restaurant we ask to have it by 4:00 the evening before you would like to pick it up.

What does delivery include?

The driver will come in and set the buffet up for you.

Do you stay to serve?

The driver will come in to set the buffet up for you. If you require someone to stay to help portion out the food, help with any needs you may have during the event that they have time to attend to, and stay to pack and clean everything up at the end- the service fee is $18 per server per hour. Service is not necessary as everything we bring out is yours to keep and/ or disposable, but it is a nice convenience to have.

How do you serve the food?

Whether you order as a price per person, or any of the packages we offer from our catering menu, the food will be packaged as a buffet. All of the *pork will come in an aluminum pan, all of the *beans will come in an aluminum pan so everyone can help themselves.

How do I keep the food hot?

If you keep the lids on, the food should keep itself hot for up to an hour. If you were concerned about the food staying out longer, we sell chafing dishes as well for $7 each. They would be yours to keep.

Do I need to provide tables for you to set the food on?

We only plan on bringing out the food. We do have buffet tables available for a retrieval fee. Unfortunately we do not have guest tables and chairs or tents available.

How do I set up payment?

You are welcome to give cash or check directly to the driver upon arrival. If you would like to pay with a credit card, we would need that information any time before the day of your delivery. We do not need any payment information if you are to pick the order up.

What is your deposit fee?

At this time, we do not take a deposit.
